My Tale of Saint Joseph…

By: Marina K.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joseph Morgan a little over a year ago.  He was kind enough to take a few photos with a me and some friends of mine as well. Joseph is extremely approachable. When you chat with him, it’s like talking to an old friend. While I’ll admit his accent was adorable, what I was mostly taken by was how when he talks to people, he is right there with them engaging in the conversation with good eye contact. I loved my brief encounter with him, but little did I know that I would chat with him ten days later at an event.

I saw Joseph later that month at an event in which we both attended. He remembered that we met before and was incredibly sweet to me again. During the event, we chatted for a little bit, but it was crowded, so I appreciated his time. The celebrities at this event were there for a while mingling among the other attendees. Afterwards, they had planned to go to an after-party. When it was time for them to leave because their ride was outside waiting on them, they all left the room at the same time. As they were leaving, some fans became excited and tried to follow them out of the room. When this happened, people were scurrying, and a random man pushed me on my back which caused me to fall down onto my behind. This man didn’t realize what he had done. Therefore, he left me sitting on the floor. I had the wind knocked out of me with no clue what just happened. As you can imagine, it was like a football hitting me in the back of the head. I didn’t possibly see it coming! Anyhow, I was only on the floor for literally a few seconds because I felt someone behind me lifting me up off of the ground. I turned around to see who was helping me, and it was Joseph! He had picked me up and looked into my eyes and said, “Are you ok?…Are you ok?” I appreciated this random act of kindness. He made sure that I definitely was “ok” before he left even though people were waiting for him. I believe that I properly thanked him at that time; however, in case I didn’t, I want him to know that I appreciated his gracious act.

We see Joseph (JoMo) in character as Klaus, the handsome, hybrid vampire on TVD that’s full of twists and turns in his wickedness, but that night I witnessed a man who was a true gentleman to the core. He made sure I was safe and doing well.

Joseph, if you do read this, thank you with all my heart for being so kind and lifting me up when I had no idea that I was going to fall!  You were my knight in shining armor. :-) I sincerely wish you the very best with continued success on TVD and on your new spinoff show too. Bless you good sir.
